This picture only scratches the surface of the wave of emotions I’ve been feeling since my name was called out last night. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude, shock, excitement, and complete thankfulness for this once in a lifetime opportunity I’ve been given to serve as Miss Alabama 2017. To my family, friends, the Miss Leeds Area board, the remarkable women I had the pleasure of competing with this past week, and everyone else who has ever told me I was worthy of this job, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I couldn’t have done this without you, but I ultimately have to give ALL the credit to my Heavenly Father. His ways are so much higher than our ways, and I’ve never experienced that more firsthand than I am now. I can’t wait to wholeheartedly serve the state that has served me so well for 21 years, and I am SO incredibly honored to be your new Miss Alabama!!
