Congratulations to Anna Grace Deason, Miss Leeds Area 2024,
and Christina Norman, Miss Leeds Area's Teen 2024!
The 2024 Miss Leeds Area and Miss Leeds Area’s Teen were crowned Sunday, July 9th. Congratulations to Anna Grace Deason, Miss Leeds Area 2024, and Christina Norman, Miss Leeds Area’s Teen 2024.
Deason, 19, is from Millbrook, AL, and studying Biomedical Sciences at UAB. Her community service initiative is “Anna’s Hope” which advocates for awareness of premature birth, birth defects, and maternal health inequity in partnership with NICUs across the state and the March of Dimes. For her talent, she sang “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman.
Norman, 15, of Hoover, AL is a sophomore at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. Her community service initiative is “Lanterns for Landon: Down syndrome awareness” in honor of her brother. For talent, she performed ballet en pointe to “Don Quixote” Act III, Kitri Variation. Norman was also the talent award winner in the Teen division.
Olivia Smith of Birmingham, AL received the Community Service Award. Samantha Hennings of Springville, AL won the talent award for the Miss division by singing “Broken Wing” by Martina McBride.
The Miss and Teen pageants are open competitions.
Miss Leeds Area was founded in 1980 and is an official preliminary to the Miss Alabama Scholarship Competition and the Miss America Competition
